Founding of Klausner Holzindustrie GmbH & Co. KG by Max Klausner in St. Johann, Tyrol, Austria. Operation of a sawmill.
1988
Modernization of the existing mill. Increase of capacity to 80,000 cubic meters per year.
1990
The sawmill in Tyrol produces at full capacity.
1992
Founding of Klausner Holz Thüringen and production begin.
1996
The sawmill in Tyrol is closed.
1998
Start of production for Klausner Nordic Timber in Wismar.
2004
Start of production for Klausner Holz Sachsen.
2004
Founding of Klausner Trading International in Salzburg.
2006
Take Over of Kühne GmbH/ Foundation of Klausner Holz Niedersachsen.
2006
Building of Klausner Holz Bayern Landsberg am Lech.
2007
Klausner Trading USA began operations.
2008/2009
Due to the finance – and economic crises there was a worldwide decrease of demand on the lumber markets.
As a result we had to make the following decisions:
- Close-down of KHN and sale of equipment to Södra Group and removal of site and reconstruction in Sweden
- Sale of KNT/HWN and KHB to Ilim Timber
