Our quality criteria in wood procurement
,,Fresh, healthy, and straight’‘ – these are our criteria for timber. The Klausner mills process primarily spruce and pine, as well as smaller quantities of fir and larch. The purchased wood can be no longer than 5 meters and should have a top diameter of 10 to 45 centimeters. The Klausner-Group purchases mainly a B/C mixed range of logs.

High-Tech and accurate
With Klausner, you are on the safe side. All our mills are equipped with state of the art technology and the most advanced tracking systems.
The logs are sorted on site at the mill. In the segregation process, Iogs are measured and inspected for quality. They are then sorted into bins and collected in large decks. The logs are graded both electronically and visually by certified graders.

Proximity
Most of our timber is delivered by truck or train from German forest usually within 150 kilometers (100 miles) from the respective mills.
