The high quality ot Klausner products is guaranteed by continual quality-control checks. As early as 1993, Klausner Holz Thüringen begas offering education and training in accordance with the British Standards. Since then, the company has continued to employ more such qualified inspectors in its mills.

ALSC
Klausner is a pioneer in the USA. The sawmills of the Klausner Group are certified by the ALSC in accordance with US requirements. The ALSC (American Lumber Standard Committee) is commissioned by the U.S. Department of Commerce to monitor the national rules and technologies of the wood industry in practice. These rules are male by the National Grading Rule Committee, The ALSC employs the help of accredited certification offices and institutions for this monitoring work. lt was upon Klausner’s initiative in the 90s that tests for the grading of German wood were introduced in Germany.

BSI
The British Standards Institution employs the assistance of accredited certification agencies for the monitoring of English wood-grading specifications. Our partner in this area is the organization BM TRADA from High Wycombe. Klausner is certified for the standard BS 4978 (GS/SS) and for the standard NS-INSTA 142 (T1/T3).

IPPC Leitlinie / ISPM Nr. 15
All Klausner operations work in compliance with the guidelines of the IPPC Standard, ISPM No. 15. The registration of the individual operations is recorded at the respective State Plant Protestion Office.

PEFC
All production sites are certified by the PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes). PEFC certified companies demonstrate an active responsibility for the preservation of forests. By purchasing wood with the corresponding mark of certification, consumers have the assurance that the raw materials have originated from sustainably managed forests (“chain of custody”).
