Klausner-Group

The Klausner-Group is one of the largest and most modern wood-industry companies in Europe. This innovative company sells its products mainly on the markets in Europe, Australia, the USA and Asia. It concentrates principally on standardised products which are used mainly in the building and packaging industries. In 2007, the Klausner Group moved up to second place in the ranking of European sawmill companies, based on total production.
Klausners sawmill and planing mill facilities are widely recognized as being among the most productive worldwide. Currently, the Group owns and operates five sawmills and two sales companies. The sawmills are located in Germany, and the sales companies, Klausner Trading International (KTI) and Klausner Trading USA (KTU), in Austria and the US respectively.

In 2007, the Klausner Group sold four million cubic meters of lumber. This represented yet another significant increase in total production for the five sawmill and planing mill facilities. Klausner plans to sustain a healthy growth rate that will enable the company to secure its strong market position in Europe. The Group currently employs approx. 1.500 people and provides training positions to more than 90 young professionals along with numerous interns and undergraduates.
